Lake Shasta encompasses over 30,000 surface acres
and 365 miles of scenic shoreline. It has one of
the finest trout and salmon populations in the state.
Shasta provides great trout and Salmon fishing on
a 12 month basis.
Early spring is the best time to pursue trophy Brown Trout
and Rainbows as well. The summer months provide the most
consistent fishing of the year as the fish become
concentrated in the thermocline in deep water. 20 to 30
fish days are common at this time. Downriggers and light
action equipment provide superior fishing excitement.
